Proactive Shipyard Support Services

There are many ways to increase the efficiency of shipyard periods.

  • IYS works proactively with your crew to develop work scope presentations quickly.

  • Catalog presentations can be provided to shipyards long before the vessel's arrival for more precise bidding and scheduling.

  • Allowing budgets, deposits, scheduled contractor time allocations, and contracts to be signed in advance.   

  • We can also provide Project Management, Coordinator, and Administrative support services (Scheduling,Tracking, Reporting, etc..)

 

Proactive measures cannot include all work. However, consider the overall benefit, savings, or time if only 50% of the work during your last shipyard period was even 10% more efficiently performed. Yes, essentially, IYS support pays for itself while also benefiting all parties involved, mainly because time is the most valuable of all commodities.

Vessel Purchasing & Selling Support 

Clients often reach out to me for independent support when selling or purchasing a vessel, either through direct calls or recommendations. While IYS is not a brokerage firm, many clients appreciate and value our independent, experience-based market research and insights regarding a vessel's general condition or its suitability for specific purposes, thanks to our operational expertise. 

 

  • Establish vessel criteria based on the desired operational use.

  • Perform global market research - shortlist development.

  • Conduct general condition and/or specific vessel reviews onboard. 

  • Independent - unbiased reporting.

IYS is not a concierge firm, nor are we members of your crew. However, we understand better than most. All of us, even the industry best, require support at times. We are here to help you find solutions in the best manner possible. Sometimes, respectfully, we say NO because we can direct you to someone better suited.  Yacht operations can become stressful quickly, so we work diligently and resourcefully to ensure our clients find solutions.
